Available as a limited edition giclee print on premium paper. Image size is 270mm square and will fit a standard frame from a home department store. It is part of a small edition run of 195, is signed by myself, and will arrive unframed in an acid free enclosure to protect the work.
Narrative
The Fiordland crested penguin is one of the rarest of New Zealand’s penguins and is critically threatened. I wanted to show this threat by using the visual metaphor of tsunami waves threatening the birds. The Washi umbrella is symbolic of how fragile and unprotected these birds are from the incoming destruction.

Materials
Printed on 310gsm Ilford Galerie Prestige - 100% cotton rag. The coarse structured surface allows for a beautiful traditional watercolour look and feel, whilst still reproducing pin-sharp details and colour consistency. Archival inks are used that last up to 200 years.
Photographs are an indication of what the artworks could look like and are not the exact size of the artworks. Other items in the photograph are not included.
