The Adélie penguins are the classic black-and-white tuxedoed penguins of Antarctica. Threats to Adelie penguins including the impact of climate change on the distribution of sea-ice around Antarctica, rising temperatures (which impacts breeding and food loss of Krill).  My painting symbolizes the impact of rising temperatures, with the need for umbrellas to shield the penguins from the heat.
