Painting size: 48.5 x 38.5cm (19 x 15 inches) - framed by Lewis Paape Framing
Narrative:
The health of our natural environment is at jeopardy. Many sea birds, marine mammals, animals and insects are struggling to survive because of human activities. In this painting I am highlighting the plight of our polarbears. Climate change is affecting every corner of the planet, and is especially evident for the polarbears, with the loss of their natural habitat and dimishing resources for dens and food.
"...Polar bears have been increasingly pushed to the brink of starvation. Alaska and the Northwest Territories have already documented a loss of 40% polar bear population between 2001 and 2010 from 1,500 to 900 bears." Global Citizen
